So we are blessed to have some nice sunny days, unfortunately thus far in Lambourn the temperature has NOT MATCHED UP! So looking forward to some warmer climes in the coming weeks. We have a glorious day here today so lets hope it returns soon, we could all do with a bit of heat on our backs.
Flat season is starting to take off now and some exciting racing this last week at Newmarket and Newbury. Our horses are in good form, so hope to fire in some winners soon. Wasn't it fantastic to see Rachel Blackmore take the prize in The Grand National, what a result for racing and for the leading lady jockeys, bet the bookies took a bit of a bashing.
Would be hard to know what to back in the classics, don't think there is a real standout in any of them yet.
We have a few runners next week but we should be in full flow in a couple of weeks time. We run Ye Gud Thing tonight at Brighton in the 4.55 race, she ran a great first race at Bath last week, there might be a couple in it, but she could run a big race if she handles the course. Uther Pendragon runs tomorrow at Newbury, he's in great form and could go well for Laura Coughlan who rode for the same owners earlier in the week, with Fact or Fable at Kempton who finished 3rd. Hope for a nice run for him, be great if he could pick up a race for them now owners are allowed back at the races.
Stan fancies The Dutchman E/W in the Scottish National tomorrow. That is another race will be hard to get the winner of, so wishing all horses and connections the best of luck.
Great racing today and tomorrow.
Stans tip is The Trader in the 1.40 at Thirsk
The Secretarys tip is Four Adaay E/W in the 6.40 at Nottingham
