First Day Of The Turf - First Two Year Old Race IN THE UK...... GOOD LUCK ALL AT DONCASTER TODAY

Delighted with two of the runners this week Reverberation finishing 2nd at Wolverhampton, in a hot enough race, what a brilliant old performer he is at the great age of ten years old! He has been revitalised in his love of English Racing it seems. To complete the night we were thrilled and delighted to see Mirabello Bay fight his way to the front and really stuck his head out to win nicely for his loyal owner Caroline Instone, we were all thrilled for them both.

Well in no time at all HERE WE ARE, THE START OF THE TURF SEASON ON THE FLAT, EXCITING TIMES AHEAD!!! We see the first runners on the turf line up at Doncaster today and we have a 2 year old runner Funalltheway running in the Brocklesby for owner Wendy Jarrett. He is a fine big strong horse by Ribchester out of an American mare with a nice enough pedigree. He will really benefit from the run and the experience. Hoping the drying ground isn't too sticky and we will be very happy if he runs a nice race on his first outing, will give us a good marker for our other two year olds as well.

Not got too many runners next week but the 2 year olds are coming on well and looking promising so we are all very excited for the year ahead.

Some very sad news for Lambourn this week, and the loss of Lambourn Open Day which is always such a great family day out and enjoyed by people in their thousands. Sadly we were hit by one of the wettest Winters on record, the village has been under extreme wet weather conditions and has resulted in mass flooding with many of the paddocks used as carparks and the site for Open day being waterlogged. SO LAMBOURN OPEN DAY IS OFF.... BUT THE SILENT AUCTION IS STILL GOING AHEAD and we would love it if you could spread the word and also maybe have a bid or two. Still chance to experience a bit of racing with lots of mornings on the gallops up for prizes. Stan always offers a morning on the gallops for 4 people, with a champagne breakfast. We always will try and get our winners badges for Newbury if it falls on the same day they plan their visit, so some great times to be had by all.

Great racing ON THE FLAT and over the jumps today, including Newbury our local prestigious racecourse.

Stan's tip is: Vetiver E/W in the 3.35 at Doncaster

The Secretary's tip is: Adaay In Devon E/W in the 3.00 at Doncaster
