Few runners, no winners yet this week!
Had a few runners this week so far but finding this weeks winner was a bit elusive. We are really pleased with old Uther Pendragon who ran very well at Bath on Wednesday finishing 4th after being taken out very wide and having to switch in to try and get a run. Along with that the draw really did him no favours, he is in good form so could be knocking on the door sometime soon.
Irish Derby was a great race, Aiden O'Brien certainly had a good one with the first four home trained by him. Stan is chuffed as the one he mentioned as his fancy in the blog last week finished 3rd at 80-1, so he's not complaining about that. The secretary's tip won last week too at 9-2 so happy away with that.
Been nice to get a bit of rain this week, just about got in to the ground for Sandown today where we run Queues Likely in a listed race, be nice to get a bit of black type on her. Already warming up here today and temperatures are set to rise. Only one runner tomorrow; Go Your Own Way, a good looking horse with signs of ability, he lines up in a classy seller at Leicester so hope he runs well.
Sandown hosts the big race tomorrow, The Coral Eclipse and Stan thinks Paddington will be hard to beat, certainly looks a little disappointing that so few are taking him on? The Secretary would have taken a chance on the forecast with West Wind Blows, a massive price at 20-1 and could run in to the money. Some really good racing on so hope you back lots of winners
Stans tip is: Nuthatch E/W in the 5.17 at Leicester
The Secretarys tip is: Makarova E/W in the 1.50 at Sandown
