Horses are FLYING, Raintown notches up a Second Cozy Win
What a fantastic result on Boxing Day for Raintown winning very nicely at Wolverhampton for owner Kieron Badger. A really nice horse with plenty of scope and a brilliant attitude. Could he do an 'Uther' and make it a three timer from three runs today when he lines up at Lingfield. He certainly has taken his races well and the world is his oyster as the saying goes. So here is hoping! Be a bit of a feat if he can pull it off!
Today at Lingfield we have four runners and we kick off today with Havana Goldrush in the 11.50 race, he was only beat 3 1/2 lengths last time and has a 3lb pull in the weights today, could run well at a double figure price for his owner Brian Galloway! Next up in the 12.20 is Kentucky Bourbon, a very big strong horse, he has taken a time to come to hand but hoping for a nice run from him first time out for his owners The 19th Hole Syndicate. Lots of unknown quantities in his race so hoping he puts up a nice first time performance, sure to improve a lot from this experience. Stan has his work cut out and will be rushing around to get them all saddled in time, as Raintown runs in the 12.55, he is a well warranted favourite today he does have to overcome a 6lb penalty but we would all be cheering him home loudly if he can overcome it for the treble. Last but not least in the 1.30 race is Uther Pendragon also up 6lb BUT IN THE FORM OF HIS LIFE.....COULD HE MAKE IT 4 OUT OF 4??????? His owner has been a bit poorly over Christmas so would be amazing for Wendy Jarrett if he could do it to make her day.
Only a few entered next week so far but would hope Wholelotafun could run well after not having best run last time also have Hammock, Fact or Fable and Dafyre pencilled in. All would not be without a chance if putting best hooves forward!
