The Oldest Winner in The Yard Makes it A DOUBLE!

The whole yard, the owners, the TRAINER AND OF COURSE THE HORSE; UTHER PENDRAGON are riding a cloud of success this week, and what a week!!!! WITH UTHER PENDRAGON WINNING TWO RACES IN THREE DAYS. Picture on the blog this week is his lordship winning on the first run this week at Lingfield on Monday. He has always been a big character in the yard, we have seen a variety of jockeys launched out of the saddle, when he is in high spirits. Rising EIGHT YEARS OF AGE. He is almost part of the family as they say and he sure keeps everyone on their toes with his bucking bronco antics, if you know him though you know it is just his way of saying I'M FEELING GREAT which surely showed at Lingfield and Southwell this week. But happy days as they say and long may his antics continue.

Hot Day put up another outstanding performance on Monday at Lingfield, surely knocking on the door to get himself a well deserved win soon. Hammock ran in to a bit of trouble which meant she lost her stride a bit, the jockey liked her though and said she will win a race soon, Easy Equation still ran in to some prize money, the race probably didn't pan out quite right for him this time. Touching wood as all the horses are running well that we continue in our good luck vein. The big freeze continues, it has been minus 10 here in the morning still at 9am! It has claimed not just jump meetings but to lose the all weather racing as well just shows you how bad the weather has been, but we should remember it is Winter and Jack Frost does love to play havoc!

We have got a few horses pencilled in to run before the New Year, we are hoping for another couple of winners in there somewhere. Looking forward to Christmas though we will be having a quiet one here. Stan said he hopes Santa Claus is coming too but at his age he thinks it highly unlikely! We have had a great year so far, 41 horses placed and we are only 3 winners of 20 for the season so for a medium sized yard, we are happy with that but would like to hit the 20 if possible!

Hope we manage to keep some of the racing on at the weekend.
