Winners Coming Thick And Fast - Two in 2 days, We are Happy With That!
What a great week with 2 winners and well deserved both! Was especially good to see The Wizard of Eye showing us what he really can do, winning in a small field.... but undoubtedly strong listed race at Kempton. He did it very easily and was very impressive (photo on the blog this week in case you missed the ease of his success). He had lost his way a little and we decided to put some cheek pieces on him, to help his concentration, as he is still a bit of a baby, we thought it might help him man up a bit. A small but ever so strong field he made them look like they were toiling in his wake.
The same could be said for Raintown, who had been a bit of a slow to grasp the ropes but he managed to make it a winning run on his third outing. It was a maiden but a very hot one and he battled strongly to the line to get in in the dying strides. Very tough race, he ran a stormer. He will come on a lot from that run as he was late to come in and slowly started, only having been broken in in June. He is a big horse with plenty to like about him and will have a bright future.
The other horses that we ran this week all had their work to do from their consecutively bad draws, but all are in great form at home, so could be their days in the sun soon enough. Only got a few entries pencilled in next week but could still chuck us up another winner we hope!
Everyone starting to look forward to their Christmas and New Year breaks, this year has flown by. Our yearlings are all looking really nice, could be lots to look forward to next year.
Busy weekend of racing here and in Ireland.
