What A Tough Cookie - Mirabello Bay Beats A WALL OF HORSES FOR SUCCESS on Thursday evening
Thursday was enough to give any driver attempting the M25 fiasco nightmares so it was with some trepidation that we headed to Chelmsford on a cross country route to ensure our runners got there in plenty of time and thank goodness they did. What a tough genuine little horse Mirabello Bay is, he got a very rough passage through, taking not one but two hefty knocks as he weaved his way through a wall of horses BUT STILL MANAGED TO WIN for his delighted owners Caroline Instone & Stanley Moore. That's two for the year for him with some solid performances put up in defeat as well. You never know he could make it three wins as a 2 year old so fingers crossed for 3rd time lucky as they say.
We ran Dafyre on Tuesday, she just didn't act on the surface and really didn't enjoy it so we still think there is a race too be won with her hopefully imminently! Got a really busy day tomorrow with three runners lining up at Lingfield so praying that there could be a winner in there somewhere. We would be happy if all three run well in all honesty. The Wizard of Eye is trying a new trip for the first time on the all weather surface, but he is in very good form though it is a very hot race for the level, the class of the runners actually would put it a grade above Listed in Stan's opinion. Wholelotafun also lines up after a very promising run last time, he's had great form in the past and be good to see him hit that form line again. Hammock has had a small break from her last run, but she is in good form, her race too is competitive but they all have good draws so lets just hope for some great racing, they all should run well we hope.
Stan is over the moon with his new purchases, they are now long reining in the ring and should be riding away by the end of next week. ONLY 2 SHARES LEFT NOW IN THE MOORE THE MERRIER SYNDICATE. £3K FOR A 1 EIGHTH SHARE IN THE BUNGLEINTHEJUNGLE EX DEBUTANTE'S BALL, He is going really nicely on the gallops, very forward going, the members will have a go at naming him, prob to be done mid February when we will all have a get together. There are no additional fees for the season, £3k and you own an 8th and all your training fees for the season are paid. Think the syndicate will be having a LOT OF FUN WITH HIM THIS YEAR.
Some fabulous racing this weekend so lots to watch. IF YOU FOLLOW THE BLOG YOU WILL SEE WE TIPPED UP A DOUBLE LAST WEEK!
