Could Do With Some Rain
Can't believe we are saying this, but would really welcome some rain right now. The Ground is fairly rattling and isn't best suited to all that many of our horses so would be good to get a bit of moisture in the ground.
Busy away with two new two year old fillies coming in to the yard today. A French bred filly by Outstrip she has a nice page and a filly by Charm Spirit. They have only been started so will be a while before they will be running but good to have some new faces. For all the Ruith Le Tu followers, he took a fair few knocks in his race at Lingfield on Tuesday receiving a small injury which explains why he couldn't get in to the race after the bumps. Pleased to report he is doing well and really can put a line through that run. Papas Girl ran a fine race also at Lingfield finishing fast to grab 3rd prize, we think she could actually be stepped up in trip on that very pleasing run. She is by Mehmas who Stan really likes as a stallion, so was pleased to get a Mehmas Colt at the breeze ups and he goes nice at home so might be one to look out for.
Earlier in the week on Monday we ran Fact or Fable at Wolverhampton, the jockey reported he was a bit flat so he's going to go off to stud for a few weeks break. We ran one of our breeze up purchases on Tuesday at Chepstow, Kessaar Power ran a pleasing race for his first outing for owners Paul Kwok, Ms A Li & Orbital Racing Group. They were very pleased with him and he was getting going again at the end of the race and making up ground. He will get further and will come on a lot for the run.
Miss American Pie went to York today to run in a Listed race, she is a lovely big filly. She took a bit of a knock coming out of the stalls which hindered her quite a lot over 5f. Plus the ground was firm today and when she won nicely first time out at Windsor the ground was good to soft so she might appreciate a bit more give, but it was an exceptionally hot race so there is more to come from her. We also ran Landship at Newbury today a first outing for him as a 3 year old. He is a big raw horse and hopefully will come on a lot for the experience as he goes nicely at home.
One runner tomorrow at Newmarket, El Habeeb is a very nice colt by Al Rifai. He is showing us some great work at home and he could be a horse with a lot of potential for his owner Mohamed Khalid Abdulrahim. It is a pretty hot contest but we think he is a nice horse so hoping for a good run from him.
A few entered next week so optimistic we might have a few good performances in there somewhere.
Fantastic racing its been all week at York and some really good racing tomorrow.
