End of 2021 Ends on a Fine Note with a winner and a 2nd

What a fantastic end to 2021 with a winner at Lingfield with Already Gone (blog photo), given an enterprising ride by Josie Gordon, She jumped him out in front on his step up to 1m 2f and he was never headed, making it look easy for owner Kieron Badger. He looks like he was coming back to winning form when he ran on Boxing Day at Kempton, you could see he was crying out for a bit more in trip and he surely relished it today. We also ran Vaxholm in the same race a furlong out he looked sure to be 2nd but just faded out though not beaten to far. Showing we are in great form still Magical Wish had his 2nd run at Bahrain today, dropping him back a furlong, he ran a really lovely race for John Egan who had him very relaxed and handy placed. Coming up to the line there was lots of shouting going on though doubt his owner Mohamed Khalid Abdulrahim or John could hear us, but we were encouraging to say the least across the miles!!! The horse that beat him is on a 3 timer and beat us a fair way last time, this time we only went down a neck so really really encouraging run and all the Team delighted.

Looking back on the last 2 weeks we have had some encouraging runs with Hot Day on Boxing Day at Wolverhampton finishing 4th in a true blanket finish, he ran a superb race and was only beaten 2 short heads and a neck, think he could deffo get back in the winners enclosure soon. One to mention for your note book was a filly we have had come in from Ireland; Alala owned by Tara Stud, she had one run previously and lined up for her 2nd run on Wednesday, she ran a corker and looked to surely be in the first three when she took a fair knock just when she started to be produced by Josie Gordon. She was very green and couldn't get herself back in it, but surely be one for the notebook, we were extremely pleased with her. So hopefully go one better next time.

We had a quiet Christmas but keeping everyone safe. Would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Very Prosperous and Fortuitous New Year. Stay safe everyone and enjoy your celebrations where ever you might be.

Fantastic racing tomorrow, be hard to pick a winner but here goes for the start of 2022.
