Doubling Up On The Winners Front

Doubling Up On The Winners Front

Well what a good week of racing we have had with TWO WINNERS Wholelotafun made it two wins from his last two runs at Bath on Monday, under an enterprising John Egan ride, once he hit the front he wasn't letting anyone past him, won it a tad cosily in the end. Needless to say his owners Wendy & Stuart Jarrett were over the moon. Wednesday saw Bomb Squad (seen winning in todays blog photo) going one better than his last run too winning for our apprentice Sophie Jones HER FIRST WINNER I think the cheers from her Mum and Dad could be heard in Lambourn. She gave him a lovely ride as they went off pretty fast, she didn't lose her head though and rode a smashing race on our little Bomber, he is one of the yard favourites. Doesn't know how to run a bad race and put a big smile on all our faces. We were really pleased with Ruith Le Tu and Wonder Elzaam who also ran nice races at Kempton, both looked like they might get in the winners enclosure soon.

More sales this week with a mixed sale at Doncaster of yearlings and horses in training. Stan managed to bag a yearling filly by first season sire Washington DC. There is talk of her possibly going in to one of the syndicates so watch this space as they say if you fancy a chance at ownership, its a lot of fun and can be rewarding.

Some really great racing this weekend. A couple of races to have a look at over the channel at Saint Cloud today could frank our horse, The Wizard of Eye's form from his last two runs in G3 & G1 company. Angel Bleu runs in the 12.58 race today The Priz Criterium International another G1. contest we were 3 lengths fifth last time to him with Ancient Rome also lining up today that horse finished 3rd in the same race finishing 1 1/2 lengths in front of The Wizard, Noble Truth also runs today at Doncaster in the 2.00 race he was 2nd behind Angel Bleu.  Then in the 1.33 race we see Stone Age lining up, he finished behind The Wizard of Eye last time at Parislongchamp Group 1, also lining up in this race is El Bodegon, who was 3rd  with The Wizard of Eye 5th in his previous race at Parishlongchamp.

Lots of really exciting racing today here and in France.
