An Exciting Prospect - The Wizard of Eye

An Exciting Prospect - The Wizard of Eye

Well the show was on the road last weekend and Stan and Sara put in some extra hours travelling over to France with our owners Oliver and Roy Humphrey and partner Alison Flavell who all made the trip to Deauville with our runner The Wizard of Eye. They certainly made the most of the trip attending Arqana Sales and the races as well. But what a great run by The Wizard in the Group 3 Prix Frances Boutin, finishing 3rd in this big step up in class to group company. He still showed some greenness on only his third start, he was a bit keen early in the race, but ran a scorcher to finish 3rd. He still has a lot to learn but he has come on again from that race. He's a big raw baby still but he's got plenty of talent as they say. He could run next in Parislongchamp in a few weeks time, he sure looks to be a horse with a very bright future.

Another exciting prospect is Wonder Elmossman, who lined up for the first time at Salisbury in a hot enough race. He was lining up for the very first time and ran a big race for a first timer, getting beat just a neck, he was on the nod all the way to the line, he is sure to improve for that run and could be a very classy individual for his owners Mr Paul Kwok and Ms Angel Li.

Another improver is Vaxholm, who gave his owners Eventmasters Racing another exciting finish. Hes a very genuine horse, who give it everything in all his races. We upped him in trip at Wolverhampton this time and he finished a very promising 3rd, sure to pick up a race soon if he continues in that vein.

All in all very pleased with our horses this week, finishing off with Wholelotafun who lined up at Bath which is the local course for his owners Wendy and Stuart Jarrett, he certainly gave them a thrilling finish, going down fighting to the line, he was just beaten in to 2nd but a thrilling run, he really loves it there. With luck we would hope all will get in the winners enclosure soon!

We would all like to send our congratulations to Roy, Ollie & Alison with The Wizard of Eye, he is their first horse and a group horse no less, lucky owners as they say! Next year it could be you, never a better time to get involved with the yearling sales already started in France ours will be in action very soon.

It doesn't seem to know whether to rain or shine at the moment not like August at all. York has been fantastic this week with top class racing, it is a beautiful course and was wonderful to see Stradivarius back in the winners enclosure. Stan thought one of the stand out horses was Lusail's performance in the Gimcrack he really was very impressive. Lots of runners next week and all in great form so could throw us up some places and we hope a couple of winners would be very welcome indeed.

Great racing today hope you get some winners.
