Well its a bit on the frosty side, but hope you all stayed safe and warm over Xmas and wishing you all a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year from all at Berkeley House Stables.
We were a bit disappointed to have lost the meeting at Chepstow on the 27th where we planned to run Mr Shady in a nice race, the blog picture this week is of him schooling and he is quite an exciting prospect! He will however take his chances in the rescheduled Juvenile Finale hurdle on the 9th (which is the race he should of run in but meeting was abandoned).
We ran a couple on the flat who both ran in to places, Woodview was 3rd only beaten a length, probably needs a bit further but think could of nicked it if hadn't got stopped a couple of times. Fact or Fable was also 3rd, running another nice race following up on his win last time. He will win again, he's a bit like his half brother; Uther Pendragon, a 'bit of a character' as they say. So he will keep us guessing no doubt.
Two runners today, Uther Pendragon and Wholelotafun at Lingfield. Both in good form, Uther ran a nice race last time but he has to overcome a very bad draw today. Wholelotafun attempts a new trip today, not sure if he will stay but if he does he could run a nice race too.
The holiday period nearly over, it will be all eyes on Cheltenham and the start of the turf before you know it!
Good racing at the weekend, lets hope it all goes ahead.
