The Luck of The Draw - Or Not (In Our Runners Cases!)

The Luck of The Draw - Or Not (In Our Runners Cases!)

We have had a few runners this week, The Good Ting probably needs dropping back to 6f, she ran over 7f this week but it just stretched her a bit. She is in good form so hope a drop back might see her back in the Winners enclosure. Easy Equation ran a lovely race coming back after a break. It was a very hot maiden at Kempton and he had to overcome a bad draw (13-14), he is a lovely big raw horse that will make an outstanding 3 year old type we think he has a bright future.

Two runners at the weekend, Bomb Squad heads up to Wolverhampton today and Birkie Queen heads over to Lingfield tomorrow. We really couldn't make it up with our luck just lately in the draws, Bomber too has been hit with the bad luck of being drawn 12 or 12, but he is so tough, honest and genuine, he will hopefully still run a nice race. Birkie Queen is in good form and seems to like Lingfield, George Rooke takes off a handy few pounds so hoping she can run a nice race for him.

Christmas is nearing so quickly, this time next week it will be the big day. What a funny year it has been, I think a lot of us will be glad to say goodbye to 2020. Everything up in the air again, Lambourn goes in to Tier 3 from Saturday though here the virus rates are very low think it is the surrounding big towns that perhaps have a problem. Hopefully sometime soon things will be returning to more normality.

Its a tad wild, wet and windy here today, already pretty soggy underfoot with a LOT MORE RAIN F/C. Ascot and Newbury will be disappointed to have to go back to racing behind closed doors again, with their big December meetings. One good thing for us flat trainers is that there are going to be some extra A/W meetings being put on, so hopefully some opportunities there. Hope you all stay safe, warm and well and have a great Christmas one and all.

The tips of the Trainer have been strong the last few weeks so make sure you follow them, last weekend the Secretary tipped a winner and the Trainer a big priced placed horse. This week for a bit of fun we have a guest judge 'The Bomber' representing Eventmasters Racing who own Bomb Squad. Sadly they would normally be flat out today at Ascot as they are Event Management Caterers and would normally be flat out running their teams ensuring everyone has a superb days entertainment. So We have nabbed Mark, to give us his tips for today instead, relegated from Event Master Stan Moore's Guest Tipster!

This weeks tips are below:

The Trainer - Typhoon Ten in the 1.25 at Lingfield (apologies if you looked earlier as Stans tip was from YESTERDAY finished 2nd at 14-1)

The Secretary - Roksana E/W in the 2.25 at Ascot

Guest Tipster - The Bomber - (he's a bit cheeky he's tipped up more than one but TWO of them are in the Secretary's tips for today) Itchy Feet  in the 1.15 at Ascot

(also was on shortlist for tips by Secretary but settled on Roksana instead)

, Thyme Hill in the 2.25 at Ascot & finally (was on shortlist for the Secretary) Beware The Bear E/W in the 3.35 at Ascot
