Wet Wet Wet Start to September

Well its been a bit wet and blustery here this week for early September, we have had to whack the heating on a couple of nights been a bit of a nip in the air.

We were pleased with our runners at the weekend last week, Hot Day having his second outing at Deauville was getting going late on and ran a really nice race. He's a big raw colt so that outing will have been a great education and he can only improve, Uther Pendragon ran a stormer at Goodwood on Sunday in the amateur race he made a surge for the line a furlong out and to be honest was surprised to see something come out after him. Just getting caught he did rally but wasn't his day and he settled for 2nd place. He is in great form so hopefully will be back in the winners enclosure soon. Not may runners this week but Bomb Squad ran a nice race at Evreux this week, finishing 3rd, he was just getting up near the line and another stride would have nabbed 2nd. Follow him on the soft next time as could see him running well again.

We had three home bred yearling colts come in this week by Estidhkaar, Fast Company (a full brother to Paddy's Motorbike who was quite a nice horse) and Cotai Glory a first season sire. Also joining them were 2 new inmates a filly by Kodiac and a colt by Estidhkaar. All look like nice types so nice to get off to an early start with some babies and next years dreams in the pipeline.

Colourful Sky and Delta Bravo went off to stud this week so good luck to them and their new connections. No runners this weekend but some exciting entries next week and some newcomers to look forward too for sure.

Stans tip is: Summerghand E/W in the 3.25 at Haydock

The Secretarys tip is: Dingle in the 3.10 at Kempton E/W
