Hoping for a winner

We only have the one runner today, Lady Lunchalot takes part in the 12.40 the opening race at Lingfield. There are only four runners and she should go well but I think we will have Bill Turner's horse to beat.

There will not be many runners for us now until the turf season starts at the end of March, but we are nicely on course for then as the horses are going at the moment touch wood!

Things really hotting up for the National Hunt horses & trainers with Cheltenham and Aintree festivals looming. I think Imperial Commander could go well in the national if he runs and is at big anti post odds of 33-1 at present. It is a great race but really does not need any more changes. Any more and the emphasis will then be on speed which is a BIGGER DANGER both to the jockeys and horses and the National Hunt breed itself. There will always be an element of danger and that can't be taken away but then there is a great risk of accident when you walk across the road and that is a fact of life.

So enough of the doom and gloom it was nice to see a bit of nicer weather this week and this morning in Lambourn can only be described as glorious! Very good racing again this weekend.

My tip this week is:     Cue Card in the 3.50 at Ascot
