What A Feat - A Dead Heat!

What A Feat - A Dead Heat!

Well last week I started the news by saying that we had plenty of placed horses and were waiting for the first winner of 2013...and when it came what a shocker it was! On Monday evening we had two runners at Wolverhampton, Salute to Seville and Amelia Hull were both running in the same race. We'd popped the blinkers on to Salute to Seville as stepping up into handicap company we thought it might make her focus a bit more on the job, Amelia Hull had previously won a seller but was stepping up in class to run in a we had hopes for them to both run well, and run well they did FINISHING BOTH 1ST IN A DEAD HEAT! It was nice to get a win in to Salute to Seville as she is nicely bred and this made it a two timer for Amelia Hull as well, with any luck they will both win again. (For any of you that missed that race there is a photo of the dead heat on the blog).

Our new apprentice, Charlotte Jenner started with us at the beginning of January and had her first ride for us yesterday at Lingfield, she was a tad unlucky in running on Rakticate when squeezed up a bit on the bend and was a running on 2nd beaten only half a length with Inessa Armand having her first run after a break finishing in 4th. It is so nice to see them all running so well still, so long may it continue!

Myzamour has now been sold to run abroad, she left us on Thursday so we would like to wish her new connections the best of luck with her. We had a nice new addition this week in the form of a good looking colt by Diamond Green who  is a home bred horse for Fitri Hay. He moves really well and looks as if he could be early enough. We have 25 two year old's in at the minute with some more to come from Ireland so a lot to look forward to and thankfully the season won't be long before coming around. The ones we have got in are nearly all cantering away now and the early additions are doing their first upside canters.

A lot of racing this weekend and my tip is: Standpoint in the 3.40 at Lingfield
