Friday 30th September

A very warm week, the weather forecasters getting it right for a change.  I've been away at Goffs Sale in Ireland Tuesday through to Thursday where i bought one filly by Amadeus Wolfe who looks sharp.  They were hard to get and trade was solid.

A good week runners wise with SHEILAS BUDDY getting a deserved win on Monday at Bath.  He runs again tomorrow at Ascot.  SNOWED IN won his 3rd race of the year at Kempton last night.  REILLYS DAUGHTER was a little unlucky to be 2nd at Warwick yesterday.  She could make into a nice jumper and is in the sales at Ascot next week, a big, good looking filly.

We have three runners in the GMV 2yr old Trophy up at Redcar tomorrow.  We have been lucky enough to win it twice and all the horses are in good form.  THE PENNY HORSE might prefer 5f but he is in good nick as are IMELDA MAYHEM & EVERVESCENT. and all 3 have light weights but it's a very good race as you would expect for the prize money on offer.

We also have 2 runners in the Brightwells Sales Race at Ascot tomorrow.  This is a new sales race this year.  SHEILAS BUDDY will probably want further and QUEEN OF THE HOP is well exposed but with luck they will run good.  I think Alan McCabes horse will take a lot of beating.

A lot of good racing over the weekend and of course, the Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp on Sunday - always a good race.

My tip for the weekend is Chunky Diamond e/w Ascot 2.05pm
